[edit] After each new post...
Here you can set up your blog to notify various services when you have a new post. The b2evolution front page has a list of recently updated blogs on the right side. Check that box if you want your blog listed there each time you add a post. Your site won't show up until it has been checked and approved. See the terms of service for the requirements.
There are other blog tracking web sites that you can notify of your new posts through pings. See technorati.com, weblogs.com and blo.gs for more information about those services.

[edit] Static file generation [Admin]
PHP, while being a very efficient language, does require some server resources to generate a web page. In some cases a blog may have very high traffic to the front page and a server with limited resources. If the traffic is mostly to the front page and not a result of spam and moving to a better server is not possible, then you may want to generate a static version of your front page. You can add a filename here. Then make sure that a blank file of that name exists and is writable by your web server. Note that new posts won't show up on your static page unless you re-generate it. You can always generate a static page from the main "Blogs tab" page (Click on the "Gen!" link next to the static filename in the third column from the right). The page that you're taken to after saving a new post also contains a link for generating the static file.
