PluginsRepository

From b2evolution manual

Jump to: navigation, search

This manual page is outdated. NEW PAGE: Plugins Repository in b2evolution v5+.

We have a repository at http://plugins.b2evolution.net/, where you can browse plugins by category and version.

For plugin developers, we have a central source code repository (Subversion) hosted at SourceForge.

The project page is http://sourceforge.net/projects/evocms-plugins/.

The source code can be browsed online at http://evocms-plugins.svn.sourceforge.net/.

[edit] Developer access

Of course, you do not need to add your plugin here. You can also just provide the download on your hosting space, through the forums or any other way.

Arguments to add it to the SF.net repo though are:

  • Central public place for the code
  • Revision control
  • Bug/Issue tracker
  • File release management
  • Users probably trust plugins from the repo more than the ones "posted in the wild"

Later this repository may get used to provide automagic plugin installation and updates right out of the backoffice.

[edit] Request developer access

If you want developer access to the repository, please contact me (blueyed) through https://thequod.de/contact and include:

  • either a link to download your plugin (preferred) or give me a brief description of what your plugin does
  • your SourceForge.net username (if you don't have one already, you'll have to register yourself there)

If you cannot provide a link where I can download the plugin, you will be able to send it to me as a mail attachment, after I've replied to your request to the above contact form.

After reviewing your plugin, I'll create a project directory in the Subversion repository for it and add you as a developer to the project.
