I'm just trying to get my hands around some concepts here. Where to find a total in-one-place Glossary? Where is the Table of Contents or Index that will guide me to the documentation I need? Going to 'Main / TOC' proves to be a back-and-forth search exercise! Maybe I can help by contributing the type of document I'm describing, a Glossary or Index of relevant terms and references for same?

For example, I'm curious about how to get visitors to login, and/or register on my blog. Where and how do I find the documentation that relates to this? I've chased 'Install/Upgrade', and a variety of topics throughout all of this documentation, but where can I go to get an overview, or find specific guidance on a keyword ('registration') topic?

I do have a blog running, of sorts - http://www.theonlinewriter.com/blog - but now I want to see how to further customize the blog. It is running, I'm starting to get the feel for this - but being able to find pertinent documentation (easily) would be a big help.

What am I missing? Basically, I expect this entry in 'discussion' will be deleted or "edited mercilessly" or sent somewhere by someone who will tell me this isn't the place to enter questions like this. And that points to my quandary: How does someone find their way through all this documentation, searching for a specific answer to a specific need?

Placing this question in an appropriate Forum suggests that the Forum topics, also, are in need of a guide to tell newbies where to post questions like this. I'd be happy to have a newby overview document, something that describes in lay terms just what steps to take after getting their blog up and running. I know I've just missed something basic, but maybe I'm not the only one... maybe I can help by contributing the type of document I'm describing, a Glossary or Index of relevant terms and references for same?
