The code tags don't seem to be working well with the nowiki tags in Firefox. I'm assuming they showed okay in IE6. Nate 16:31, 7 March 2006 (CST)

Even in ie they don't show well. But at that time, I was not ably to fix it.. I hoped somebody would know the sollution, so I left the code in it.Topanga 15:40, 9 March 2006 (CST)

[edit] how to make code snippets

I think the easiest way to post a code sample is to use the nowiki tags around the code, but the key is to put one space before you start your nowiki tag. For some reason that seems to fix the formatting issues. I also like blueyed's "Note" template which I copied for the summary.php page. It shrinks the text some and does some other visually pleasing things.

I'm not sure how to keep long lines of code from running off the page, but that's minor, I think. --Nate 20:42, 14 March 2006 (CST)

For code snippets, I've made even another template: Template:Box Code - this was my first one, inspired from the Gentoo wiki Blueyed 14:27, 15 March 2006 (CST)

How do you apply the 2nd formatting to a block? I tested it using ((Block Code | whatever }} and that applied the lime green color and then there was a (((2))) box underneath it. --Nate 15:43, 15 March 2006 (CST)
